When most Realtors talk about areas of Atlanta Real Estate, they will mention Communities. But we at McKay Team take it a step further and allow you to consider individual neighborhoods.

Metro Atlanta Real Estate depends on the leadership of 13 Fortune 500 companies and 24 Fortune 1000 companies and still growing! One of the priorities of our Mayor Shirley Franklin is to attract new companies to our region. Not only do they concentrate on major corporations, they also look forward to doing business with non-profits and local entrepreneurs. The business community of Atlanta Real Estate understands whole corporations relocating here. CNN and the Weather Channel are just a few of the major corporation that call Atlanta Georgia home. McKay has kept involved in the Georgia Association of Realtors and understands the blend between business and family. You can read more about McKay and her history with Atlanta Real Estate.

Ormewood Park Real EstateThe census bureau reported 423,019 in the year 2003. While racial backgrounds are made up of 61.39% African American and 33.22% Caucasian. The remaining percentage is mixed ethnicity as of 2000. Median income is $51,482 and household family income is $55,939. I have also added my favorite charities in our community and would love to hear if you have one to add.

Atlanta Real Estate and Fulton County rarely reach temperatures in the 100s! It can be humid in the summer months with average highs reaching in the upper 80s. There are many beautiful trees surround the area and keep temperatures low. Average winter months are mild staying in the 50s and 60s during the day and reaching in the mid 30s 40s and 50s at nightfall. There can be a great deal of rainfall but it is distributed at anywhere from 3 to 6 inches in any given month. Reported rainfall in the region is about 50 inches annually with just a small about of snow, not more then a few inches per year.

Now that you know a little more about Atlanta Real Estate why not browse our Featured Listings and our community pages will give you detailed information about happenings around town. I am excited you dropped by and would appreciate you signing our Guest Book. History - Originally the Cherokee and Creek Indians lived throughout the region and named Standing Peachtree. It was open to white settlers in 1823. As with most small towns, the city grew when the railroad decided to bring Atlanta into the stops from Chattanooga. In 1843 the town was officially named after the Governors daughter Marthasville. The town being business savvy even way back then, decided that name would not do well in the business market and renamed it Atlanta in 1845. So as you see the theme for the city of Atlanta has always been hopeful consideration of the business community. Even after it was nearly completely destroyed by Union forces during the Civil War, Atlanta was chosen the State Capital and was by far the most important command post for the Union and the Reconstruction administration. By the 1880s Atlanta was considered the hub of the New South!

As history buffs will tell you, in the 1960s Atlanta was the main focus of the American Civil Rights Movement. 1996 Atlanta was blessed with being the Host City for the 1996 Summer Olympics. Here is an interesting and reassuring fact; An Atlanta's nickname is "The Phoenix City" the phoenix appears in many of Atlanta Real Estate seals and flags. Atlanta Real EstateThe phoenix is an Egyptian mythological bird that upon destruction will revitalize itself, coming back stronger and more beautiful! Needless to say the city of Atlanta Georgia is rich in history. This results in a passionate pride for the city and all it has to offer. Click on Entertainment to see some of the wonderful venues the city has to offer.
