The High Museum of Art is the leading art museum in the Southeastern United States. The Museum has two locations: the Meier-designed main facility is in Atlanta's Midtown arts and business district, and the High Museum of Art Folk Art and Photography Galleries are downtown in the Georgia-PacificCenter. The High's collections include African art, American art, decorative arts, European art, folk art, modern and contemporary art, and photography.
Today the High welcomes nearly 500,000 visitors annually, boasts a collection of over 11,000 works of art, and serves a membership of more than 40,000 households, the eighthlargest museum membership in the country.
